Our Mision
Within a Christian environment, we develop lifelong learners who strive for excellence, serve and care for others.
Disce, Cura, Perfic.
Learn, Care, Achieve.
Our Vision
To be a school of choice where each student, as a child of God, is known, valued and heard.
Our Values
We seek to operate by the values shared by all Lutheran schools in Australia, lived out in our context and community. Our 4 core values are:
Compassion:
we show care and consideration for all people, especially those in need of our support.
Service:
We focus on service and equip each member of our community to support and care for others.
Excellence:
We encourage each member of our community to achieve the best of which they are capable
Love:
We urge each other to love, just as Christ has loved us.
Lutheran Tradition
The Lutheran church is a Christian tradition dating back to the 16th century. With some 80 million members, the Lutheran church remains one of the largest Protestant denominations in the world.
Through Martin Luther and its early beginnings, the Lutheran Church championed the importance of universal education for all.
Lutheran Education Australia (LEA) serves as the national body supporting Regions, and Lutheran schools and early childhood services.
Acknowledgement of Country
Through our loving Creator God, Lakeside College acknowledges the Traditional Custodians, the Bunurong and Wurundjeri peoples of the Kulin Nation who have continued to walk and care for this Land since before recorded time. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging as we travel this journey of reconciliation in Australia.
